Happy New Year!
Dear viewers, oh how i've neglected you. I've gone and travelled without a text post, video or postcard. How will you ever forgive me? Oh you still wanna hear about my entire month of December? Are you sure you have the time? Well if you really are interested, i'll let you in on my adventures.
Early December I flew to LA for a weekend getaway. My initial intention on going out was to see about a boy. But half way into planning the trip, it was apparent that that wasn't going to work out. So with ticket in hand and super rad friends to hang out with, and the warmth of Los Angeles to look forward to I flew to LA. I stayed with my good friend Lauren. We were lazy and went shopping and saw Milk and had dinner at Chan Dara and even went to a Hollywood party filled with free booze and celeb reality stars. I also saw my dad which was a wonderful experience. The older we get, the better friends we become. 3 days in LA was not long enough. I wanted more than ever to stay. I set a goal then and there to work my way back home and to work hard for it. How long that's going to take me, I have no idea. But i'll get back to the sea!
Christmas!
I went to my mom's in San Antonio for Christmas. My sister had put me on her wish list and I surprised her when I arrived with my dog. The look on her face and the scream she let out will be etched in my memory for the rest of my life.
There really is nothing like being at mom's is there? Everything is just right when mom is around. My sister and I played games and watched movies and had a great time. We decided to drive down to Mexico and visit my uncle and cousins. My mom is from a small town called Monclova about 3 hours south of Texas. I grew up there as a child and everytime I go back I feel completely at home. This whole world of internets and fame does not exist there. It's a humbling place with the best food and wonderful family. I of course stick out like a sore thumb in my rock shirts and black jeans. Especially when walking down the street with my cousin Jenny who's about 5 shades darker than me. Ha!
It was a great time to be had in Mexico. I'm so sad we left after one day. But I stuffed myself on homemaid tortillas and guacamole and tacos and came home a soft roley poley. I even got to ride a horse.
Here are some photos from my trip. Enjoy!
This is where it all started. My dad was a pitcher for the visiting team when he met my mom at the park.
proof i was there.
My family helped in renovating this church.
