Memories of the Moon

Memories of the moon
Shine still over these waters

The night, so warm, blows a breeze
Cools the heart

She stands by the shore
In a new dress

The tide,
Shy of her touch,
Leaves a memory of itself

She looks to the sky,
her dreams play a melody,

As she dances with the stars
That dance with the sea.

Happy Earth Day!!

I read on the internets today that one should care about the earth, go green and buy a kindle. Now i do agree that caring about the earth is a top priority, but i am completely against these reading electronics. perhaps it's personal preference but, the act of reading a book in paper form can not be duplicated. why are we being forced to read/see/listen to everything online or on a machine? sometimes i wish for simpler times. record store shopping. going to the cinema. to the library. you get the idea.

the kindle? really? i won't buy into it. i don't care how heavy my purse gets or how cluttered my shelves get. books are not the same when digitized. think about it. sitting in the park on a cool spring day chilling with your kindle in hand. lame. it's fun when the pages get blown and you lose your place and have to go back to find that line you left off on.

For the longest time i thought Earth Day was on the 21st, thanks in part to Dramarama. It wasn't too long ago that i was told it was today. i was told yesterday that the song was changed to Tomorrow's earth day, merry christmas, etc... i refuse to adjust....

oh, so today is also Secretary's Day. but no one cares about that...... ahem. let's just say i bought my own lunch today. hmmf.
